Punctuality (সময়নিষ্ঠা) means the habit of doing a thing at the exact (সঠিক) time. The person who is punctual (সময়নিষ্ঠ) is aware of the value of time. He/she gets up at the right time in the morning. He/she is never late in getting up late and doing his/her duties.
Everybody should try to learn the habit of observing punctuality from the very beginning of his/her life. If he/she learns the habit of doing things at the right time. he/she will never be late in doing things. He/she should know that to waste time means to damage life.
A punctual person gets sufficient time in his/her life. He/she can easily perform (সম্পাদন করা) his/her work at the right time. A punctual student never becomes unsuccessful in his/her life. He/she always learns his/her lessons in time. So he/she does well in the examination. As he/she always performs his/her duties as a student in time, he/she does not need to work hard at the time of examination. Punctuality crowns (পুরস্কৃত করা) him/her with brilliant success in life. In other words, he/she reaches the highest point of success and honour in life.
Punctuality (The Value of Time) is of utmost importance in professional life. If a doctor is not punctual, his/her patients may suffer a lot. If teachers are not punctual, their students do not get scope to learn the habit of observing punctuality. A businessman’s lack of punctually may paralyse (শক্তিহীন করা) his business. On the other hand, if a businessman is punctual, his business is sure to prosper day by day. Lives of great persons show that they were all punctual and punctuality was the only cause of their success.
An unpunctual person is a nuisance (উৎপাত) to everyone. Nobody likes him/her. An unpunctual student can never do well in the examination. An unpunctual employee loses his/her job. The sufferings of an unpunctual person know bounds. Therefore, parents should advise their children to practice the habit of punctuality quite early in life.
If children learn this habit, its utility will be apparent (স্পষ্ট) in every sphere of their life.
