My College
The name of our college (My College name) is Feni Govt. college. It was established in 1920. Dhaka University was also established in the same year. So it is contemporaneous (সমসাময়িক) with Dhaka University.The college stands behind Feni Railway Station. There isa a large ‘Deghi’ called Rajajir Dighi in front of the college. This dighi has enhanced (বৃদ্ধি করা) the beauty of the town. The college area covers almost 10 acres of land. The college campus looks very beautiful. The college is housed in six buildings on the campus (আঙ্গিনা). The principal’s room, the college office, the vice-principal’s room, the college library and the girls common room are on the second floor of the Administrative Building, which was built during the British reign (রাজত্ব). The teachers common room is housed in a one-story building. The college pond is surrounded (বেষ্টিত) by the Administrative Building, the Science Building and the students’ hostels. The flower garden which lies between the Auditorium and the Science Building adds to the beauty of the college campus. There are more than five thousand students in this college.
The college (My College) is fortunate in having competent (যোগ্য) teaching staff of eighty. Our principal is an excellent (খুব ভালো) administrator (প্রশাসক). He is very popular with the teachers and affectionate (স্নেহময়) to the students. He is a man of sublime (মহিয়ান) personality (ব্যক্তিত্ব). Our teachers have deep affection for us. They perform (সম্পন্ন করা) their respective (নিজ নিজ) duties with sincerity (আন্তরিকতা) and devotion. We are proud of having such competent (উপযুক্ত) and responsible (দায়িত্ববান) teachers who consider us to be their own children.
Our college offers different courses of studies for H.S.C and Degree (Pass and Hons.) Examinations. The college offers 4 year honours courses in 8 subjects. 70 students can enrol (তালিকাভুক্ত হওয়া) on each course in each academic year. As the academic environment of the college is excellent, the students do well in all examinations.
Our college library (My College Library Name’s) has a rich collection of books on different subjects. We can borrow (ধার নেওয়া) books for a short period. Moreover, we can take valuable notes from the books in the reading room attached to the library.
There are ten well-equipped laboratories in our college. Students of science group get the opportunity of carrying out experiments in the laboratories for their practical classes. Students can spend a lot of time in the college common room reading periodicals (সাময়িক পত্রিকা), newspapers and magazines and playing different kinds of indoor games. They also have opportunity (সুযোগ) to refresh (সতেজ করা) themselves with food and drink in the college (My College) canteen.
