Your First day at College

My first day at college is the most memorable (স্মরণীয়) day in my life. I thought of reading at a college from my school days. Eventually my dream of reading at a college materialized (বাস্তবে রূপ নিল) after I had passed the S.S.C Examination.
After passing the S.S.C Examination I-got admitted to Feni Govt. College on 25 June 2009 and 4 July 2009 was the first day of my college life. On that day I arrived at the college at 8.30 am. I felt thrilled when I entered the college campus. I was fascinated (মুগ্ধ) to see the magnificent buildings of the college. I saw hundreds of unknown students moving to and fro. Suddenly I saw my friend, Suman in front of the Administrative Building of the college. We were delighted (খুব আনন্দিত) to see each other. We embraced (আলিঙ্গন করলাম) each other very warmly. Then we went to the notice board to know in which room of the Academic Building of the college our classes would be held. We wrote down our class routine from the notice board.
We had our English class in the first period which started at 9 am. After the peon of the college had rung the bell for the first period a handsome (সুদর্শন) English teacher entered the class. No sooner had he entered the class than we stood with a view to showing him respect. We sat down when he told us to be seated. First, he introduced himself to us. Then he told us to introduce (পরিচয় করা) ourselves to him. After we had introduced ourselves to him, he started taking the class walking between the gaps of the rows. On that day he told us about the necessity of learning English and our duties as college students. His method of teaching English was superb (অপূর্ব). He used very lucid (সহজবোধ) English in the class. He also encouraged us to speak English in the class. On that day six classes of different subjects were held. All the teachers of the college seemed to have good command of their respective subjects.
The college has a recess (বিরতি) for 30 minutes. During this period my friend and I took lunch at the college canteen. After taking lunch we visited the students’ common room and the college library. We spent ten minutes playing chess in the common room and 15 minutes reading books in the library. When the classes came to an end, we spent about an hour playing cricket in our college playground. At about 5 pm I left the college campus and returned home.
I cannot forget this memorable day (First day at College) of my life. I remember this day most. Whenever I am alone, the memories of this day flash through (হঠাৎ মনে হওয়া/ উদিত হওয়া) my mind.
