New Composition : If I Were a Rich Man

If I Were a Rich Man

Everybody wants to be rich. So he/she tries to be a rich person by any means fair or foul. Nowadays (আজকাল), it is quite difficult to become rich without adopting (অবলম্বন করা) unfair means. I am sorry that I am not a rich man. I want to be a rich man. But I do not want to be rich by adopting unfair means. If my dream of becoming a rich man comes true, I will spend my money and wealth not only to solve the economic problems of my family but also to develop my village in all possible ways. In our country, most rich people are selfish and immoral (অনৈতিক). They spend their money and wealth only for the higher education of their children in foreign countries, the construction of splendid (জমকালো) houses, and the purchase (ক্রয়) of luxurious cars. But I do not want to be a selfish and dishonest rich man. I will not only send my children abroad (বিদেশী) for higher education but also construct (নিমার্ণ করা) new houses for all the people of my village. I will also set up a garment factory in my village, where only my villagers will get the opportunity to serve. will also set up a madrasah, a primary school, a high school, and a college in my village. Only the students of my village will get the chance of studying in these institutions. I will not take fees from the students for their studying in the institutions I will make education compulsory for all the children of my village. I want to transform my village into one of the best villages in the world.

I am fond of traveling. But I am very sorry that I have not yet been able to visit any foreign country. If I were a rich man, I would visit almost all the countries of the world. But before visiting the countries would perform my hajj.

Every year many people of our village die without treatment. If any poor person of my village fails to collect money for the treatment of the diseases he/she suffers from, I will not let him/her die without treatment. will give him/her the required money for his/her treatment. If need be, I will send him/her abroad for better treatment.

Human life is short. Nobody will live forever. So everybody should work not only for himself/herself but also for the welfare of humankind. If s/he does so, s/he will be remembered by all with love and respect even after his/her death. I want to be remembered with love and respect by my villagers even after my death. So I want to spend a major portion (অংশ) of my money and wealth for their welfare (কল্যাণ).
