Metro Rail is a rapid rail system that saves passengers time and money in major cities. Because of the train’s high speed, passengers should expect to travel at around 30 km/h. Steel or concrete are used to construct subway train tracks. We all know Dhaka is a crowded city, and the traffic has gotten out of hand. As a result, the Bangladeshi government has begun construction on a metro rail system in Dhaka. The Dhaka Metro, sometimes known as MRT for short, is a city-based train system that is currently under development in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The plan asks for five MRT lines to be built: lines 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6. Line 6 of the MRT is the first to be finished. Other MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) lines will be built in accordance with our government’s intentions. The total cost of the project is anticipated to be $8.82 billion. JICA and the Bangladeshi government are co-funding the effort. There will be less traffic on the roads as more people utilize the metro train to get around. At any given moment, this metro rail system can transport over 60,000 passengers. The Dhaka metro train spans 20 kilometers between Uttara and Motijheel, stopping at 16 stations, and commuting by metro rail takes less time. It will take only 40/45 minutes to get from Uttara to places like Motijheel. Metro Rail will be extremely beneficial to Bangladesh, since it would save the government 200 billion takas per year. Because metro rail is powered by electricity, it is an environmentally benign mode of transportation. They will save time and money in the future, and traffic will be reduced on Dhaka’s roads.
